May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all.  Amen.

About us

Membership

As believers in Jesus we are committed to Him as our Lord and Savior, the Bible as God's Word, and each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.  We therefore believe that fellowship within a church body is an important part of Christian life.  There are four major requirements to be a member at Spring Creek:

  • All members are born again believers in Jesus Christ.

  • All members have been baptized as believers in Christ.

  • All members affirm the church’s statement of faith, the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

  • All members are committed to the church according to the church covenant.

Church Covenant, Spring Creek Baptist Church

(Listen to audio series on the Church Covenant here)

Having been brought by God’s grace to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and having been baptized upon our profession of faith, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, we do now, relying on His gracious aid, solemnly and joyfully covenant with each other as a local body of the church of Jesus Christ.

  • We will by guidance of Holy Scripture and the aid of the Holy Spirit walk together in Christian love, admonishing, exhorting and encouraging each other.

  • We will strive as individuals and as a church to grow in the knowledge, holiness and peace of God; promoting our spiritual maturity, fruitfulness, and unity in Christ.

  • We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, and the spread of the gospel.

  • We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, nor neglect to pray for ourselves and others, but commit ourselves to the regular preaching, ordinances, and discipline of the church.

  • We will maintain family and personal devotions to educate our children and ourselves in the Christian faith.

  • We will seek and pray for the salvation of our family and friends.

  • We will seek, by God’s grace, to live carefully in the world, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, and remembering that, as we have been voluntarily buried by baptism and raised again from the symbolic grave, so there is on us a special obligation now to lead a new and holy life.
